$30.00 placement fee per day (for more than 24 hour notice)

$60.00 placement fee a day (for less than 24 hour notice)

How to Sign Up for Backup Care or Babysitting Services

1. Apply Below: Start by submitting your application for backup care or babysitting services.
2. Pay the Registration Fee: When applying, you will pay an annual registration fee of $200.
3. Initial Contact: Our team will reach out to gather all the necessary details about your care needs.
4. Client Agreement: Once we have your information, we will send you a client agreement outlining the terms of service and fees.

How to Request a Backup Care Provider

1. Request Care When Needed: When you need a backup care provider or babysitter, simply email us at families@charlottesbestnanny.com to submit your request.

Finding and Confirming a Backup Care Provider or Babysitter

1. Conducting the Search: We will contact our experienced, pre-screened backup care providers and babysitters to see who is available and interested. Then, we will send you a profile of the interested provider; you will review the profile information (this includes their photo, experience, references, and requested hourly pay rate). You will let us know if you want to confirm the backup care nanny or babysitter for your need.
2. Confirming the Backup Care Provider or Babysitter: We will confirm that the provider will be at your home to provide childcare during the requested times.
3. Paying the Placement Fee: A $30 daily placement fee will be invoiced after each successful placement. A $60 placement fee will be invoiced if we have less than 24 hours’ notice.
4. Paying the Caregiver: You will be responsible for paying the backup care provider or babysitter directly at their pre-negotiated hourly rate at the end of each shift.

All backup care providers and babysitters go through a 10-step pre-screening process.

1. Application & Resumé Submission

Every candidate begins by submitting an application and updated resumé.

2. Submit Relevant Documents

Candidates provide all required documentation to move forward in the process.

3. Initial Pre-Screening Call

We conduct a brief phone interview to ensure the candidate meets our agency’s standards and the unique needs of our clients.

4. In-Depth Interview

Qualified candidates are invited to a comprehensive one-on-one interview with a placement specialist. This helps us get to know each candidate’s personality, background, and skill set. (We look for a minimum of 3 years of experience in the industry.)

5. Custom Candidate Profile

We create a personalized profile for each candidate to highlight their qualifications and strengths.

6. Professional Reference Checks

Our in-house team conducts detailed reference checks and prepares a full reference report. Once a family expresses interest in hiring a candidate, they receive this report and are encouraged to connect directly with the candidate’s references.

7. Family Interviews

Candidates participate in virtual and/or in-person interviews with families who are interested in hiring them.

8. Certification Requirements

All candidates must be certified in CPR and First Aid before beginning a position. Many have advanced medical training, such as CNA, RN, EMT, or even retired MD credentials. We provide the candidate’s info on recertification if needed.

9. Transportation & Driving Verification

Reliable, safe transportation is required. We verify each candidate’s driver’s license and driving record during the background check process.

10. Comprehensive Background Check

We run a national background check as close to hiring as possible to ensure the most up-to-date information.
