Are all Nannies and Household Employees Pre-screened One-on-One?
Yes, all of our nannies and domestic employees are pre-screened One-on-One by a placement specialist. We never do group interviews.

Our team conducts a preliminary interview with each nanny and household candidate we consider. During this extensive interview, a placement specialist gets to know the candidate’s background, work history, experience, and expertise. Following that interview, a profile is built for the candidate, and we collect relevant documents and verify their references in-house.?The placement specialist will then determine if the candidate would be eligible to be recommended to families we work with. If the candidate passes the pre-screening at this point, we are then able to refer the candidate to families for consideration.
Once a family interviews candidates and identifies a candidate to hire, and they contingently accept the position, we will provide the family with a reference report summarizing our reference calls. The family is also encouraged to contact the references directly if they would like as we are fully transparent. The final step in pre-screening is conducting a national background check (social security verification, civil and criminal inquiry search, sexual offender registry search, driving record search, and a security watch list search). Each nanny or domestic candidate undergoes an extensive background check, as close to hiring as possible, so we have the most up-to-date information.

Why is the background check completed as close to hiring as possible?
We always run a current background check as close to hiring as possible on each candidate. This is so we have the most up-to-date background information on a candidate. Unfortunately, we have had candidates interview with us and bring in a “clear background check” conducted by other companies; then our background check investigation goes on to reveal charges or arrests. At that point, we have to tell the nanny or household employee we are not able to refer them. This is why it is imperative to have the most up-to-date background check possible and to use a professional nanny and household placement agency to conduct your search.
Do you offer a service where you pre-screen candidates found outside of the agency?
Yes, we provide screening services to families who find candidates outside of the agency as well. If you would like to obtain a background check or reference check on a candidate you found outside of the agency, we offer that service for a fee as well. Can I drug test a nanny or household candidate?
We offer a drug testing screening option for all placements. Each drug test is conducted by an independent lab and tests for prescription medication, other drugs, and alcohol for a small additional fee. All drug screening is optional for families, and if requested, is conducted through LabCorp. The hiring family will be given a detailed report of the results of the drug screening.
